Laparoscopic Surgery
Laparoscopic surgical technique can be used for tubal ligations, certain hysterectomies, removal of ovarian cysts, and treatment of endometriosis. During laparoscopic surgery, a lighted instrument for viewing is inserted through a tiny incision. The abdomen is then filled with carbon dioxide, making space in the abdominal cavity and allowing Dr. Mitchell to navigate the area.
